23 GB of space in your Dropbox account is no more a dream now. If you are not aware of it, then Dropbox is basically an application which is best for file synchronization. On making a new account on Dropbox, initially you just get a 2 GB of space which surely is not sufficient enough to sync all of your ever wanted data.

You may have read so many procedures which claim to enhance your storage without paying any additional cost. For example, connecting Dropbox to your social media accounts, referring it to your friends, posting your referral link on Facebook and Twitter, sending it out to your Friends and Family, connecting a .edu Email address to your account and by completing the Dropbox Tour. However, all these methods enhance the storage by a few MB of data or may be a few GB. Think about 23GB. Yes, now it is possible. You can now get an additional space of 23 GB on your Dropbox absolutely free of cost.

All those wishing to enhance their storage just follow the tutorial below. However, it must be noted that there are two methods that can be followed. For those who have an android mobile can follow our first tutorial and those who do not have an android mobile may follow the second one.  The free 23GB space is valid only for a period of 2 years!

Tutorial one: ( Andriod mobile users)

Note: You will be required to uninstall your on hand Dropbox App from your Android Phone. To do so, go to Settings, click on Applications, go to Manage Applications, click on the Dropbox and then tab on Uninstall. Wait till the application is uninstalled successfully from your mobile.

Step 1. Download and Install the modified version of Dropbox application.

Step 2. Run the application. Enter the details of your Dropbox account.

Step 3. Check your E-Mail for an Email from Dropbox. The email should be like this.

“Congrats on becoming a Dropbox Guru! We’ve awarded you 23 GB of bonus space for the next 24 months! You now have 27.38 GB on Dropbox. To get even more space, check out our upgrade options.”

And that’s all! Go on enjoying the free space!

Tutorial Two : (Non-Android mobile users)

Note: It is a bit technical. You will be required to install the Android Emulator and Android SDK. You will also be required to create an Android Virtual Device.

Step 1. Download and install the modified version of Android SDK from this link for your operating system.

Step 2. Go to the installation directory and run SDK Manager.exe

Step 3. A long list of package will appear in front of you. Un-check all of them and check just “Tools” and “Android 2.3.3”. Hit on Install Packages, choose “Accept” and click on “Install”.

Step 4. Once all the packages will be installed, close the windows and run AVD Manager.exe from the installation directory.

Step 5. Click on “New” and fill the empty fields as shown in the image below and hit the “Create AVD” button.

Step 6. Now close this windows and run AVD Manager.exe once again, but this time select the AVD you just created in above step and click on “Start”.

Step 7. Log on to this address from android browser.

Step8. After downloading and installing the Dropbox, run it and login by providing the credentials.

Step 8.  Check the space allocated to your account and enjoy the 23GB additional Free space.
