    • The file name for the full package Google Chrome installer is "ChromeStandaloneSetup.exe".

The updated version is always available at from Google's secure server at https://dl-ssl.google.com/update2/installers/ChromeStandaloneSetup.exe. (I figured this out by inspecting their page source on the installation page to figure out where the file is hosted).

      • Thanks very much for this text. But now, with the stable version 14.0.835.202 I’ve got this extracted folder :

So, I cannot find another compressed rar file called chrome.rar. :(

        Any help?

p.s. this would be very easy way to update the chrome portable, because since now, the only I knew was to install the new version again and again. Thanks in advance.

The compressed file may be chrome.rar or chrome.7z, chrome is now using 7zip compression for the file as it can compress some files better than rar format. So, you might need 7-zip to extract the chrome.7z file.
